Bill Kessler

Bill Kessler is an American immigrant and resident on the subtropical Portuguese island of Madeira, located almost midway between the mainland of Portugal and Morocco. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Mississippi University for Women and has been published internationally numerous times in the genres of short story fiction, nonfiction, essay, poetry, photography and digital art.

Artist’s Statement

My work, like memory, is not a static entity but a wavering fluidity through the lens of that which is digital. I tend to gravitate to the surreal or simplistic. Working with digital tools to create visual cues of color and treatments, I am able to replicate or fragmentally adjust to what I find pleasing at the time. Hence, the computer screen becomes a canvas projecting an evolving and pixelated rendering.
