Lead Poetry Editor | Ella Cordle | she/her
Hi! My name is Ella, and I’m majoring in English literature with a journalism minor. Getting to dive deep into poetry for the issue has been an amazing journey. I hope you enjoy!
Favorite piece: “Odysseus as an Abalone” by Kenton K Yee
Lead Fiction Editor | Daniel Stell | he/him
Hello! My name is Daniel Stell. I am a member of the Class of ’26 at the University of Mary Washington. I am a Creative Writing major with a minor in Digital Studies. My passion for creative writing is mostly in fiction with a focus on fantasy and science fiction. Still, more importantly, I am interested in stories that explore the millions of aspects of being human. There is a oneness in the chaos of our existence, and fiction allows us to explore this chaos in any way we imagine. Fiction is nothing more than reality’s stained glass mirror.
Favorite piece: “Palos Verdes Blues” by Katherine May
Lead Nonfiction Editor | Arianna Salvador
Hello! I’m Arianna. I am majoring in English Literature with a minor in Professional Writing. I love all things arts and crafts, baking, and reading. I hope to become either a writer, journalist, or editor in the future.

In my free time, I love consuming all sorts of media (books, movies, music, visual art, etc.), with a renewed interest in being able to physically hold these creations in my hands. I hope you enjoy this issue of the Rappahannock Review as much as I’ve enjoyed having a part in it.
Favorite piece: “Into the World There Came a Soul Named Joan” by Lauren DiGangi
Art and Layout Editor | Blake McBride
Hey!! I’m Blake, and I’m an English: Creative Writing major. My free time consists of thinking about my own characters, writing about said characters, drawing, and thinking about whatever my current fixation is at the moment. I also really like DnD, I’m in two groups right now (paladin is my main class). I really like podcasts too (shout out to Sherlock and Co and The Magnus Archives). I want to become an editor or publisher in the future, so this was a really great experience, and I hope y’all enjoy reading the issue, because there’s a lot of great work here.
