DE SOTO NATIONAL MEMORIAL PARK

The men show the children arrows, how to shoot,
and say little about the history of battle, other than to give a date
and point to clearings and hills. Without being asked, the men give over
the battered armor. Smile when the small hands rock,
surprised at how light it all seems.
